Calculate how many boxes you will need, by dividing the total stone space by one box weight of 15 kg, to get the number of boxes needed. You might find sauna heater stones at a local hardware store or a specialty store. You might save a bit that way, as the freight cost to ship the stones to you are significant part of the total cost of the stones. We realize a local supply is not available in many locations.

The rounded sauna heater stones have been mechanically ground to be round and smooth. In addition to the beautiful look, the benefit is that there is less sand and dust coming off the rocks, and in the heater the hot air will flow easier past the rocks.

The heater rocks must be laid carefully and toughtfully into the heater, without forcing them, avoiding pushing or bending the resistors. Have patience, and each stone will find its place.
Remove the stones from the heater once per year, for inspection, replace any broken stones or stones with calcium or other deposit, and re-insert the stones carefully.
