The sauna chairs are hand made in Finland of alder, which is a leaf tree growing in Finland and the baltic states. The wood is very well suited to sauna, as it is sufficiently soft, has very mild scent, is easy to clean and is durable. The chairs have been tested to meet Standard ISO 7173, for durability to public space use. In the test a weight of 200 kg is placed on the chair, and it must not fall front or backward. The chair is subjected to force from various directions that it must stand.
The chair can be folded up and lifted out of the sauna.
